The only princess to Profesor
Diraja Ungku Aziz and Sharifah Azah Aziz was born on 27 August 1947 in Johor
Bahru. Her name is Tan Sri Dato’ Ungku Dr. Zeti Akhtar Aziz. She had married to
Dr. Taufik Ayman and they have two princes which are Alif and Aziz.
She had got her earlier education
in Sekolah Menengah Assunta in Petaling Jaya on 1958. She had passed her
examination with flying colours and this had make her can further studies to
the next level. Although, she is a child to the Profesor Diraja Ungku Aziz which
also a governor, it is not an easy way for her to be what she wants. With full
of interest and desire to be like her father, she got Bachelor of Economics in Economy
Analytical field on 1970. In 1978, she had pursued her studies to the Masters
and PhD in finance and international economics at University of Pennsylvania,
USA.
Tan Sri Dato' Ungku Dr. Zeti Akhtar Aziz received an Honorary Doctor of Economics from Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah at the convocation ceremony of University Malaya at Chancellor Hall on 4 October 2012.
